Abstract

This paper based on smears of buccal mucosa from 100 women which included 25 as controls and 75 pregnant women at different stages of pregnancy, supports an hypothesis that decline in x-chromatin frequency during the progressive pregnancy period may be due to interference of natural steroid sex hormones.
